Chongqing International Artists Workshop 2011

Deze workshop was uiteindelijk de bestemming van de reis die Charlotte Mumm in China ondernam.

Media Perspective International workshop in Chongqing that has led to an exhibition in the Organhaus Art Space . During the workshop each artist presented their works in an evening lecture series. This workshop and program is curated and managed by Yang Shu (China) and Ursula Panhans-Bühler (Germany).

Chengdu Biennale

Zoals een aantal weken geleden aangekondigd volgen hier nu de berichten van Charlotte Mumm, die een maand door China reisde. Haar bezoek aan de Chengdu Biennale stelde teleur maar op het Bishan Project kon zij haar hart weer ophalen. Lees en bekijk haar indrukken hieronder.

We thought that the “Bishan Project” had interesting works and views. It felt more art-related and open-minded than the neighboring art/painting exhibition, which referred quiet often to traditional chinese painting.

Ou Ning Bishan Comune: How to Start Your Own Utopia

De eerste van vier weken in China zit er alweer bijna op voor Charlotte Mumm.
Zij vertrok naar Beijing om aldaar een aantal dagen in de drukte op te gaan.
Morgen zal zij haar weg vervolgen richting Chengdu, verder naar Kangding  en naar de Grasslands van Tagong.

En tussenstop zal zij ook in Danba maken om via XiaJun naar Rilong te komen. Vandaaruit gaat haar reis verder naar de Four Girls, Mount Siguniang. En als ze daar vandaan weer terug keert naar Chengdu, zal zij uiteindelijk in Chongqin, aan een internationale workshop in het Organhaus Art Space beginnen.
We zijn nieuwsgierig naar nog meer exotische plekken en  hopen haar ervaringen op afstand te kunnen volgen.

Kunstenaars in Dialoog #1

Albert van der Weide was afgelopen zondag de eerste kunstenaar in dialoog @ Interartlab.

Van januari tot april dit  jaar verbleef hij als artist in residence in Xiamen (Chinese European Artcentre) waar hij aan het project  “FORCE” werkte.
